Try these checks first
- Install the latest Avoidance update from the App Store or Google Play.
- On Apple devices, check that the device is running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
- Close Avoidance completely, then open it again in landscape.
- If a leaderboard or achievement is missing, confirm that Game Center or Google Play Games is signed in.
- Restart the device if controls, audio, or orientation still do not behave normally.
Progress and leaderboards
Avoidance keeps gameplay progress and settings on the device. Game Center on iOS and Google Play Games on Android provide leaderboards and achievements when you choose to use them; you do not need an account with Simon Skinner to play.
Removing the app can also remove locally stored progress. If you are troubleshooting, try updating and restarting before deleting the app.
Report a problem
Email talkto@simonskinner.me with “Avoidance support” in the subject. Please include:
- your phone or tablet model;
- the iOS, iPadOS, or Android version;
- the Avoidance version shown on the App Store or Google Play;
- the mode you were playing;
- what you expected and what happened instead;
- steps that make the problem happen again, if known.
A screenshot or short screen recording can help, but please remove notifications or other personal information before attaching it.
